A few words about us
Doug Dixon and Associates Inc. (DDA) was established in 2017. We are based from our office in Brampton, Ontario. DDA is a privately-owned corporation and has a group of experienced Bridge/Structural Engineers, Technicians, and support staff. Our staff of Senior Bridge/Structural Engineers have more than 100 years of combined experience delivering infrastructure projects to a variety of clients.
The DDA Team has experience and expertise in all types of bridges and culverts including reinforced concrete/pre-stressed/post-tensioned concrete, structural steel and wood structural systems, for a wide variety of spans and applications. We have experience in projects requiring specialized environmental mitigation measures, permits (DFO, Transport Canada, MNR, Ministry of Environment and Conservation Authority), public participation, management of multi-disciplinary teams, and design liaison between the owner and various agencies. DDA provides quality, cost-effective and innovative bridge solutions to meet our client’s needs.

DDA holds a Certificate of Authorization (# 100514161) from the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) and is registered on the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario’s (MTO’s) list of approved providers of engineering services for 8 Bridge Engineering Specialty Categories including:
- Rehabilitation – Structural Coating;
- Underwater Inspection;
- Rehabilitation – General Rehabilitation – General;
- Biennial OSIM Inspection;
- Wood Bridge Inspections;
- Design & Evaluation – Complex Structures (multi-span);
- Design & Evaluation – Single Span; and
- Condition Survey
